Stichting de Kartladder Nederland and NXT GP warn about fraudulent email after data breach
October 5, 2026 – On Saturday, October 3, 2026, an email was sent on behalf of the Stichting de Kartladder Nederland, in which participants were asked to fill in their bank details for a so-called refund. This email did not come from Stichting de Kartladder Nederland and/or NXT GP. We never ask participants for bank details without reason.
We request recipients not to respond to this email, not to click on the links, and not to fill in any details.
In the meantime, we have identified a data breach and traced how unauthorized individuals were able to access our email environment. In response, we have implemented additional security measures.
The internal investigation into the precise scope and consequences of the incident is still ongoing. We have reported the data breach to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP). Once our investigation is complete, we will share the full investigation results with the AP and consider filing a report with the police.
We regret this incident and understand that it may raise questions and concerns. The protection of our participants' data has our full attention.
